Hm, I see I forgot to take into account the fact that the effect should trigger multiple times if there are more deadly sins in the discard. I feel this is a better proposal:

“After any player takes an action, if possible, remove 2 DEADLY SIN cards in your discard pile from the game and look at the top card of an opponent's deck. Then choose to put it on the top or bottom of their deck. Repeat when possible.”

This is the same struggle I had with Gary M. when he was helping me finalize the phrasing of the original character card. Back then, I was determined to get the character ability to fit onto the single card without a clarification card and ended up choosing concise phrasing on one card over clarity. Evidence of this can be found in yours and other peoples clarification questions on Unmatched Maker.

Thank you for the proposed phrasing but I wouldn’t want to use it as is because it feels overly complicated for the limited number of edge cases that require the “Repeat when possible.” Also it would not be able to fit onto the card. I made some more small edits to The Devil’s special ability and clarification card for conciseness without sacrificing clarity, at least I think I did, on Unmatched Maker. I plan to keep the clarification card available, similar to Muldoon and his trap rules. I think the clarification card was the biggest thing that was missing and now that’s it’s up I’m happy with The Devil character ability as it is. Let me know what you think and if you there is a need for more clarity or edge cases.

A lot of people like it ... but I did not find it at all like Seafall in any way. And ... Sleeping Gods is not a legacy game.

Oh, I'd got the impression it was.

Nope ... but it is a great family game, and it is a co-op.

I think the comics from the last KS are arriving, so I'll update the Cthulizer with the new investigators.

I assume you don't have the restriction card 'oversight required' which would mean you HAVE to be in Washington to acquire targets? Even that could be brushed aside with the right event card...

I've made my own Medusa virus (out of clay) and just need to know how many to make.

I've only unlocked 8 (I think?) cubes, so I made 20 but just wondering.

Here's what I've made if anyone cares.

Hello all.
I am back on this game with 3 friends, after a long break due to the pandemic situation.
We started the month of May (or June).
There is something we don't remember :
How do work the objectives cards.
For example, for May, we have to fulfil objectives.
Which ones do we have to play ???
( the old ones ?? )

Thank you very much for your help

Could you hide the spoiler from the title? (For the people who do not know that disease cubes are going to appear, and appear gradually?)

I am so, so sorry! I was trying to eliminate spoilers but I forgot that we don't learn there will be disease cubes at all until some episode. Thanks, Simon and I'm sorry if this affected you.

The old objectives stay in place until something tells you to get rid of them.

Thanks !
So it can happen we have to play the same objectives from a month to the other ?
If we have more than 3 objectives cards, how do we choose among the old ones ?
Thank you !!

You lay out all objectives you have at the beginning of the game. During the game, you need to achieve the stated number of objectives (among which need to be all “mandatory” objectives) but you can decide which of the non-mandatory ones you want to do based on how the game develops.

Once you have reached the required objectives, the game ends immediately. You cannot keep playing, even if you want to (which might be attractive for certain end-of-game bonuses).

The game board has a list of month just below the objectives space, which tells you how many objectives you need to complete that month (the number of stars below the month name). If memory serves, that's three objectives for May.

You should have added several objectives to the game during the earlier months. All of them that haven't been destroyed yet are available for completion during the game.

If, at any time during the game, you have at least three objectives that are currently complete, and all your mandatory objectives are among those currently complete objectives, then the game ends immediately (or almost - there are some corner cases where a bit of tidying up happens - for example, if the Medic is in the same city as the last cubes of a disease when you find the cure for that disease, and finding that cure completes an objective and means you now win, then the Medic's ability will still clear those cubes and the disease will be eradicated) and you win.

You never have to choose which three objectives will count for that game - though you may choose to focus on some more than others - all that matters is that you complete the mandatory ones and at least enough others to get to three.

I don’t know how often it could come up so you might be right, but I don’t feel adding these 3 words overcomplicates things. Just my take though.

This I’m not so sure. My last proposition is shorter than the one before.

If you can't remember that detail, I strongly recommend you re-read everything carefully. You need to remind yourselves of the things you've forgotten that you'd forgotten, as well as the details you know you've forgotten!
