Marksmanship characters can even shoot through them!

This is an assumption, right? The rules for those connections and marksmanship are unclear as written. We’ve been disallowing it as it makes the game trivially easy at times.

Just did my first solo with Morgan the Tank and Borden the Axe Lady.

Morgan died to insanity when he brought Cthulhu to the final phase.
Borden rushed and tried to kill him, but due to being overly stressed she also died with cthulhu left at 1hp.

In retrospect I could have rested once before attacking him and that might have bought me another round.

Was very fun and a lot of really close calls over all. Can't wait to play this with my friends.

I want to get the Helm tattooed on me. But I accidentally dropped the picture of the card I want.

Its the card that has the electric blue Helm on the back of it!!

Does anyone know what card I'm talking about, if so can you post it, or email it to me at ft104537@gmail.com

I would so so so appreciate it.

Cool powers, I'd buy a pack of those!

I already bought these https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/driver-modifier but there's always room for more.

I think Observant and Persistent need some small text explanations cause I'm a lil confused.
Observant, "1 additional space." does that mean your car has to be a color on the speed card with the wilds?
Persistent, "if neither car was moved" does the neither mean yourself and the current player's car?

Logged my first play. My friends and I had a blast. 2 of us had been defeated and my friend managed to kill Cthulhu on his final roll, with only 1 dice to spare. It was an awesome ending.

It's on Amazon for 80 bucks right now with free shipping...after playing it do you feel it distiguishes itself from mansions 2nd edition and AH 3rd edition...? It's hard to tell from this conversation...

I guess what I'm asking is, minus the theme is there enough there mechanically that would make you want to play this more than those?

Thanks

It's crazy how often this happens. Losing or winning at the last possible moment. Often with the final character killing self. A very well designed game - the ramp is just about perfect. Count me impressed.

By the way, Adam rules.

With Fueled by Madness and Marksman, he can blast the firk out of the Elder God's face from distance. So satisfying...

We tried the Black Goat on mission one and it was out of control. Spawning, dying, spawning, Oie!!! We also figured they spawned, then took damage which caused more. There is a period at the end of the first line so it read as step 1, then step 2.

Thanks to games like Mansions of Madness: Second Edition, I've gotten used to the idea of doing other actions as I move, so I thought the same thing.

The rules say nothing about performing other actions as you move.

Thread: Cthulhu: Death May Die:: Rules:: Four Stress Total?

Hi! Quick question on Stress. It seems obvious, but I want to make sure I don't inadvertently short change myself.

There are 5 stress spaces on the board. Setup instructs you to put a token on the leftmost one, leaving 4 uncovered. When you take a stress, you move your marker to the right. When your token is at the rightmost point, you cannot take any more stress. This means that you can take a total of 4 stress.

Did I get that right?

A total of four before you rest. Yes. Resting, of course, can move your marker back to the left.

You can shoot through stairs / tunnels - what makes you think you can't?

Surprised at so many people thinking marksmanship is OP - i'd easily say Arcane, brawling and toughness are more essential.

Question relating to adjacency
[o]in this episode, you can potentially be in the spaceship (i.e. in the air). The scenario rules state that you count distance from the space ship marker. If that's the case, what is the distance between the actual space ship and the ship marker on the board? Can i shot into that square using Marksman? If i apply the rules literally, i can shot from the spaceship into the squares adjacent to the marker.[/o]

About the word adjacent, what that means? If there are 2 or more R’lyeh spaces adjacent to each other, at the end of the turn.....
Thanks
