I'm afraid to try it as I've never done it before and I don't want to risk breaking the fig more. I don't know if I'll have to send the broken components back. I don't want to risk sending something back in worse condition than I received it in.

Agreed! It's been so obvious from the outset just how much love this game has had from its design team, and it's so cool that the players get to be included in that.

Second complaint...the large dark gray areas that don't count as spaces. But some of them are huge! Does that mean it is a blocked area, or just a leap across? Because it feels like they should be blocks honestly, but then the path would make no sense. So it's just like, yeah, skip that entire inch of space, you just go over that.
I look at each regular step as a small ascent or descent, such as a hill side, while the steps separated by a greater dark space represent more level ground like a hill top, where you can go further in the same amount of 'game time.'

Thread: Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar:: General:: To glue or not to glue the palm trees?
by shirtman
There seems to be some loose engineering when I attached the tops of the trees to the trunks. There is one small flange/tab that locks it together which allows it to grip when rotated. I'm concerned that over time the notch in the top will wear and expand allowing the top to slip and rotate freely.
I'm thinking about super-gluing them together before our first play to eliminate any potential stress and wear.
Anyone else have similar thoughts or experiences...not sure why they didn't use a star or hex connection so there is more surface area to spread the stress with rotating the trees?

1) Yes
2) No (though you could certainly play it that way if you wanted a meaner game).

:surprise:Was hoping that for reasons that they would go with a more standard size for this either just go with a standard Euro or US or tarot size. Thankfully with it being a legacy game it will only need a set amount of sleeves & less when the cards get removed. Know why some publishers might go with an odd size card, just not a fan of the really odd sizes that there aren't easy to find sleeves for them, easier to shuffle & protect with the sleeves.

You won’t have to send it back. Feel free to give it a try if you like.

Thread: Betrayal Legacy:: Rules:: Is an attack considered a Trait Roll?

Subject says it all: is an attack (or defending an attack, for that matter) considered a trait roll? Had this question come up last night with the (Prologue Spoiler) [o]Gambler Calling Card[/o] but I assume it would be useful to know this in the future for other cards/effects that affect trait rolls. Thanks!

I'm going to be straightening my purple character up a bit (she's just the teeniest bit leaning to one side making her a little unstable). I'll report back when I'm done.

If the attack calls for you to make a roll from one of your traits (i.e. Make a Speed roll) then it's a trait roll. If it calls for a specific amount of dice (i.e. Roll 2 Dice) then it's not a trait roll.

No. In fact, if they’re taking up two spaces, you skip over both of them.

That was my thought as well from the rules, but would love confirmation from Rob on this, as I seem to recall the answer was different in the original BAHOTH.

Thread: Betrayal Legacy:: Rules:: Fog / Line of Sight Questions

Fog “blocks line of sight”.1) Does this mean that someone who might otherwise have line of sight cannot see someone ON a fog tile? Or simply that they cannot see someone BEYOND the fog tile?
2) If you’re ON a fog tile, does this impact what YOU can see? (For example, can I use a crossbow/gun on someone otherwise in LOS if I’m on a fog tile)?
