<div>(no spoilers) And so, the first of many. So satisfying having this be part of a game.</div>

I'm with Keanu on this! Whoa, indeed!

This is probably my favourite game that I hardly ever get to play, at an average of a whopping once a year over the last three years. But I'll almost certainly pick this up anyway, despite having made no real dent in the first 50 haunts.

Agreed. You should have done it already, so now you've spotted the omission do it asap.

When you open it you'll discover you've disadvantaged yourselves a little, but you've certainly not broken anything.

I agree. It is an experience, not a board game. Why is it #1 here on BGG? A national tragedy, I tell yas.

Did you manage to finish the full year of Pandemic Legacy despite your feelings?

I felt the drag you mentioned in August/Sept..now heading into Oct.

Anyone else notice that says Avalon Hill and not WOTC?

Wizard's has been using the Avalon branding for years.

Woulda been a nice gesture to their fans if they included some kind of new score-keeping clips for the player boards... you know, ones that actually work.

Obligatory b*tching aside, super excited!... would have been happy with just a book of haunts. Pre-ordered...

The initially available Trending Data game end upgrade says you look at X cards in the infection pile. It does not specifically say that you have to look at the top pile. Other game end upgrades (like Forecaster) specifically say to look at the top cards.

Does that mean that you could use Trending Data to look at the bottom cards of the infection pile?

He's trying to see what the next Epidemic will draw from the bottom of the infection deck. I would say "no"

Right.

It would make it way more powerful if you could.

I;ve been reflecting over this: I think what many people (not myself) may object to is the difference between renting a video to stream online and buying a DVD of that video. A lot of people don't want to spend $20 on a video if they will only watch it once and then dispose of it. After the first watch, it's consumed for them and not worth keeping. $20 is till a lot of money for 2 hours of entertainment.

On the other hand, if there's some movie or type of movie that you loce so mych that you want to watch it several times *cough* *cough* Princess Bride *cough* *cough* then paying the $20 seems more reasonable because not only can you watch it any time you want, but you can also look at it on your shelf and reminisce about all the great moments in that film.

Therefore, I'd say Legacy games are a better buy for the second type of customer. The game Risk Legacy us still **playable** after the 15th game! However, the narration provided by the designer is primarily finished at that point.
