Anyone else notice that says Avalon Hill and not WOTC?

My guess is that it's a standalone that expands base as well?

Wish there were a bunch of new characters, but still, pretty cool to see new content.

The web page mentions you must have the base game in order to use this expansion. Also, there are definitely not enough components to be able to use it on its own.

My group lost our first game in March and forgot to resolve the "At the end of your first game in March, before selecting your game end upgrades, open the following doors and then draw this card."
My question is: should we resolve this card before we begin our second March session (even though we selected our upgrades) or just wait until the end of that session?

No spoilers, please! kiss

Wonder if they'll include a replacement Underground Lake tile for those of us with the first printing?

Hype levels at maximum. One of my favorite board games, especially for the price it usually floats at (35-40). 50 new haunts!!! So damn excited!!!!!!!

Odd... I was hoping for a replacement Underground Lake for the second printing. Much more fun having it on the second floor.

It sounds like you are being very rigid on treating this like a standard board game, rather than what it also is, an experience. I was never a big fan of Pandemic and I have not played Pandemic Legacy, but I look at it as an experience. If I were to play it, I would definitely split it with friends and it would be less than $15 a person for 12 - 20 games (as I understand it, which is more than reasonable). You have surely paid for experiences before (concerts, shows, movies, comedy events, park admissions, etc.) and not thought too much of it because you saw it as an experience. It sounds like you really want to play this game, but don't want to because it sounds like a bad deal for a board game (even though it sounds like a really good deal for an experience). And yes, one could argue that all boardgames provide for experiences, but you won't experience this game because you are concerned that it can be re-experienced...

The point: If you treat it as an experience rather than a standard board game, it is not at all a bad deal.

I agree. It is an experience, not a board game. Why is it #1 here on BGG? A national tragedy, I tell yas.
