"Spaces", because they aren't square. Topologically, they're hexes.

For those who haven't seen the Vendetta boards, the spaces are "hexes" in that they have 6 sides, but they are not hexagons. They're more chevron shaped.

Looking at the rules for the 1986 version, I don't see why not? Hazard spaces could be wrecks, and I'd still use three boards like Vendetta. But everything else seems like it would work alright.

I might steal the rule about rolling all dice even if all three cars are wrecked and repairing a car on double 6s for Vendetta

easiest for me is fake teams. 2 v 2 with each human player controlling two factions. you don't HAVE to do this as team play.... but it's fun.

Hey there! I sadly missed the kickstarter for CoC, does anyone know if there's any way to late pledge at all?

Indeed. I changed the post to reflect your accurate phonetic spelling.

Thank you Alan for this. Panicked a bit when I couldn't find the New Delivery card but I made the mistake of quickly dismissing it since we had already taken the postcards in a previous game.

In a 2-3 player game, how do trackbeds work when parallel to a grey track? Does the 1st player to play track use the trackbeds or grey track or can they choose? Do we ignore the grey track? Do we ignore the trackbeds? For future games, can people choose between the grey and colored sticker track?

Very similar question so piggybacking (🤪) off your thread.

Suppose 2 track beds are parallel, and you build one, and you are playing a 2-3 player game. Since this is a 2-3 player game, the second track is not available. Does this mean that it can be immediately piggybacked, despite the book saying that parallel tracks cannot be piggybacked if there is an available trackbed?

I'm going to ask some very silly questions but :
- why would you want to play the original, when frankly absolutely everything in the new version surpasses it (except for the nostalgia aspect that embellishes memories)?
- the original can easily be found for 5-10 dollars at garage sales...which is much cheaper than the new one.

PS: the new one can be played just as well with children, and for the younger ones all you have to do is remove the control panels.

The original game became a classic. The reboot could or coud not pass the test of time. I have seen many fans of the original game rating low the reboot, essentially they complain about it being bloated.

The original game seems fast, simple and straight to the point. Ramming another car seems to be a difficult decision, as one of the vehicles will mostly die, still you won't ram other cars lightly because you would be favoring the rest of the players.

The reboot is full of "kickstarter mechanics" (special abilities, luck mitigation, randomization, and second chances to evade death), which typically add mechanical bloat, increase the number of components, and could make some play decisions to become pointless.

Being able to play the original using the components of the reboot makes buying the reboot a safer investment.

Not in Europe.

You’ve answered your own question. The other track is not available by rule, so yes, you can piggyback.

If the 1st player wants to put stickers on the trackbed, that’s fine. If they want to use the gray track instead, that’s also fine. In either case, the other part is unavailable for the rest of the game. The game board has no memory of what was used from one game to the next, so if someone puts stickers on the trackbed, it becomes a double route with one part gray and the other colored.
