As the medical Conference Coordinator can move another player up to three cities away, does that mean that you could, in theory, move another player up to 12 cities away if you used that for all four actions?↧

I'm not sure the map is large enough for there to ever be a "12 cities away". But yeah, you could.↧

The Medical Conference Coordinator can move another player or team ... if I recall correctly. Missed that for a couple of games and it ended up being more useful than moving just another player.

• You can use any beneficial text on a room tile while ignoring any harmful text. You can pass through the Revolving Wall without rolling. You can choose where the Mystic Elevator goes when you use it. You still slide to the Basement Landing when you move onto the Coal Chute.

So, yes, this situation creates two contradictory rules, which would require a house rule to fix.

If you're playing 1 player that would be correct.↧

Recent KS article earlier today has now stated the expected start date for RtDT fulfillment is slated for August at this point, barring any other unforseen setbacks.

Well, that was a little bit of poetic license for the sake of the writing. I just had some terrible luck that game - my foe played me like a fiddle. But I used Giles, and tried to plink away from the side.

My copy of Dark Tower still works with the occasional bulb needing replaced. The electronics in the new tower are (if I remember correctly from a past post on KS) pretty much similar. There’s more wire harnesses and gears to spin parts of the internal components in the new tower, but the logic board should be nearly the same - except compact form. The only thing to worry about would be gear wear and tear, wire pinch points (which I think is solved,) and Bluetooth software/hardware updates. Even in ten years, there shouldn’t be an issue with newer Bluetooth tech communicating with legacy Bluetooth components.
It’s hard to compare the tower to an iPhone. Tech companies have been slapped for intentionally engineering their products with an “expected end of life” cycle. In addition, our phones are on every second of every day, even if it’s locked and set aside; it’s on standby power.
This tower will not be using as much interaction as our typical handheld devices, unless your tower becomes your life….
This tower doesn’t take your soul….. does it? It’s not like jumanji? Right?

Are the games already loaded onto boats? If not, there is no way that people in most areas of the world are going to see this game arrive in August.
After just reading the update, I'm not sure they could be less clear about an actual delivery timetable. They say they expect to "start fulfillment" in August - not even sure what that means, but it surely does not mean that most people should expect to have this game arrive on their doorstep in August.

I just came on here to ask if anything like this was available! I hate the trackers that come with the game. Thanks for this.↧

Interesting, that caveat in bold isn't in my first edition rules.

Whenever the game rules and the Haunt come into conflict, the Haunt wins every time.Rulebook Page 17: "What Happens if a Haunt's Rules and the Regular Rules Conflict? If this happens, use the rules in the haunt. All of these rules are in effect unless a haunt says otherwise."
The Haunt itself explicitly states "You can't enter the room with Death"
Normally you would slide to the basement landing by the rules, but the Haunt overrules that behaviour. The Haunt wins and you the traitor remain at the top of the coal chute, unable to enter Death's room.

But since you have to play at least 2 Investigators if playing solo, this would still not occur

My personal advice would ask the players who have interest to invest in the game too, so split it 3/4/5 ways. That way, they're not playing your game, it's a shared investment and you may get more buy in.

"Starting fulfilment" means starting to ship games from fulfilment centres to backer's homes. This may possibly start in Asia in August. This probably means actual delivery to our doorsteps in October for most of us.↧
