Really enjoying all the sets, but was wondering if there would be a samurai character such as Zatoichi, Yojimbo or even Lone wolf and cub in a future set?

[I'd straight up disagree with Alice and Holmes on this list, though. Alice has had a number of reimaginings outside of her ancient source material that make her into a badass, the prime example probably being American Mcgees Alice. Holmes has also done plenty of fighting, and more pulpy Holmes stories would fit right in with him trying to outwit and outmaneuver bands of ruffians.
Alice as a warrior is strange to me. But I prefer these characters are based on dark reimaging instead of absurdity.

Still though... Do you know of any bad-ass reimaging of Little Red Riding Hood, William Shakespeare, Rosie the Riveter, or Harry Houdini?

I adore Houdini (I do magic and escape art myself). But what's he supposed to do in a fight? Back-palm a playing card? Dislocated his shoulder? Pick a lock with a regurgitated key?

C3V has been a regular part of our Scaping for years, we were all involved with some of their designs at some point! We have some of the suggested figures for them, but often use proxies too. I'll note that Heroscape designer Craig said he loved what the committee did when he came back not to long ago to take a look. We all hope he'll get the game back from Hasbro as he said might be possible, since he had a good relationship with them when he left to start his own company with his brother, who has visited over here once.

C3G is fun too. We have many other supers besides their products too. After I retired I did The Great Superhero Card Hunt, where I scoured many threads on the site and printed out hundreds of cards to cherry pick. I can now offer a wide variety of superheroes and multiple cards of the same figure. For example: here he/she is as young, as a hero, as a villain, in a wheelchair, etc.

My son had the phone and was upset we lost he shut it down. He didn't realize that we could rewatch it at the end. He knows now. :(

If he just shut down the app it may still be there, unless you quit the game session. Go to resume game when you relaunch.

I'm having a hard time fighting against Bigfoot. He hits hard, has solid defense cards, a very useful ability, he can move fast and his sidekick can deal 4 inevitable damages out of 2 cards.
What's your general approach to fight him regardless of your hero ?

I'd love that as they're some of my favorite movies, but there's probably still licensing issues so it's super unlikely.

Do you know what it is? Perhaps we lost a piece or something. I apologize, I was trying to get a response to a specific questions. And the tag for hiding a word doesnt work for the title page. But it'd be nice if you knew the rule and were willing to explain it to me, thanks.

[o]Don't have the game handy but I know the rule. You should have gotten 12 checkpoint tokens, if not you will have to use a proxy. They are to contain whatever you are trying to pursue. Do you have rules on pursuit actions? For the checkpoints, if you are in a city, as an action, you can discard a city card matching the affiliation of your current city to place a checkpoint token on a road leading out of that city. Whatever you are pursuing, cannot move through that checkpoint. [/o]

If you need more explanation, let me know.

When I was younger I wanted to write a book/comic about Red and Alice as badass monster hunters, does that count? 😄

I dunno, I think anyone can be re-imagined as a fighting hero. I like what Restoration did with Alice, Red or Sherlock. And even though I am not completely sure still how I feel about real people being heroes in Unmatched, I am interested in their vision for Shakespeare and Houdine (and the vision of the winners of the contest in this case). For me it works in Unmatched. It's a bit of a silly game sometimes with the possible matches, but so what? The theme is that anyone can fight anyone. I see why some people would prefer not to have these characters, but you can try to just avoid them and play the rest if you otherwise like Unmatched as a game enough. Granted, not always possible, let's say if somebody wants Genie, but thinks Houdini is a bit much, then of course they need to decide if the cost of a hero they want is worth having the one they don't. So yeah, I see the point of why this is problem for some. But it is what Unmatched is. I like it. Will not get everything, but I like the idea that anything goes.

This isn’t a bug we’ve heard before. Sometime, the thief movement can seem strange but makes sense after watching the replay. If you can get us any more info, please let me know. We always love to squash bugs when they pop up.

My kids are loving this game...so we have played it twice since this happened. No issues the other two times.

I filled out a form on your website, so if you need to reach me for any questions, you have my email.
Now that my kids know there is a replay button, they like to use a meeple to show the path on the board of what the pack did after we finish a game. We like to see where we went wrong. Lol! We will be ready should the error pop up again.

I have mainly played against Bigfoot a Robin Hood, as they share a set. I would say if you are a ranged character like Robin Hood, with many sidekicks, really work your sidekicks to protect you while you shoot at Bigfoot. With all of their hard-hitting attacks, it’s unlikely that they are going to want to waste them on a one-health sidekick. If the jackalope is really messing you up, maybe make an effort to defeat it before your opponent gets any jackalope cards. Finally, I would really take advantage of Bigfoot’s special ability. Bigfoot can’t keep pressure on you forever without running out of cards; so if he’s up close and burning cards, try to pin him in so he can’t escape and get more. On the other hand, if you are more of a melee fighter, keep the pressure on him, don’t let him escape to another zone to refill his hand. Or if you need to replenish your hand, when he retreats take advantage of the situation. Hope this can help.

Bigfoot is definitely a challenging adversary. Like you say he is superior in most areas and has few weaknesses. The ability to move through opposing fighters and move long distances (both in maneuver and card effects) makes him hard to pin down, and Jackalope is frankly kind of beefy especially with access to a lot of Any cards that keep it from being KO'd quickly or easily. Ranged attackers make his job harder, but they feed his special ability much easier. Extra feint cards also mean your tricky cards are less likely to work.
Other than the fact that good card play in general is necessary to beat him, my advice is to be willing to use your feints on offense. That makes the opponent think twice about when to defend and keeps them from using the cards that let them run away.

Thread: Pandemic Legacy: Season 0:: Rules:: April Spoilers -- Card Interaction Question

Hello all, I wanted to solicit opinions and maybe even get an official confirmation on a card interaction question.

An Event card available in January:

Encoded Messages -- Choose 2 players. They select 1 card from their hands and swap them.

A new card mechanic introduced in April:

Symptom cards -- This card counts as a card in your hand. You cannot discard this card when you exceed your hand limit.

I personally think it is fairly straightforward and rules as written you are allowed to use a Symptom card to swap to another player with Encoded Messages. However, I can easily see how this may not have been the intent of the Symptom cards.

I found this thread below which gets at the same problem. However, since the OP used incorrect wording for the Event card, I wanted to remake the thread to avoid confusion.
