Michael. Most hobby trees have thinner wire or plastic type trunks, very narrow. In fact, as far as I know the only two types of trees these guys put out with thicker wooden trunks are this apple and their pine. You wouldn't want them any thinner, nor thicker, I'm betting.↧

You may only establish a relationship when you create a character. You create a character when you use it for the first time, and give it a name.At that point, you give the character you are creating a relationship with another character that has already been created.
(If you create two characters in the same game, you can give the second a relationship with the first. But no character can ever have more than two relationships in total.)
When you were instructed to open the flaps containing the relationship stickers, you were also instructed to open flap A. That's the sticker which explains this. Stick it in the "RULE STICKER A will go here" slot in the rulebook.

We thought the immunologist looked familiar...
"local doctor and former government research immunologist Wesley McClaren (Steven Seagal) who has an interest in herbal medicine and is also a weapons and self-defense expert, is called to a hospital when people start dying from an unknown but very deadly disease."

Dude, spoiler warnings. Not even sure how to label this spoiler tag, other then "beware":
[o]I had no idea what the topic "Stevan Seagal Spotted" meant before I clicked on it, only to be confronted with frickin' BOX SEVEN spoilers! This is incredibly late game stuff you're just throwing out there.[/o]

Okay, but if they don't provide cover, and figures can go in the same hex as the tree, they have no real game effect at all. Are they just meant for decoration?↧

People who believe that this a real spoiler shouldn't be reading the message boards for the game.

Hi Sarah, since people's experience of Pandemic Legacy is greatly changed by spoilers, what we do in this forum is to hide text within spoiler tags, and say which moment the spoiler relates to.
For example:
Box 7 spoilers: [o]and now write about box 7 matters like the Immunologist...[/o]
(In case you haven't seen this before, you can edit your post and press the SP button in the formatting bar, or type [ o ] at the start of your post and [ / o] at the end, but without the spaces in the square brackets.)
It's also recommended, for spoilery topics, to make text in titles quite generic and add in brackets (spoilers for box 7) for example.

When you think cover are you actually planning on shooting at it? Otherwise, guy in hex w/tree has cover. If you're big on literal LOS, he has cover only if partly obscured by trunk/branch.↧

It isn't for me, as I've already gotten past that part of the campaign, however:
[o]1. It tells you that a character called the immunologist exists.
2. It tells you that the immunologist is a playable character.
3. Given the name of the character role, it's easy to guess at what he does.
I wasn't even sure how to title my spoiler, as simply stating what the spoiler would be FOR is more information when combined with the original post.
Note that even if you know about 1, 2 doesn't necessarily follow. The immunologist shows up in the campaign months before you find the character card for him. Furthermore, the meare fact he exists doesn't even happen until July.[/o]
Not to mention the fact that the thread title has no indication that there is any sensitive information in it.
It's pretty darn easy to just wrap things in spoiler tags, so why wouldn't you?

Well, looks like we've all been wasting our time answering rules questions for people who shouldn't be here, then. Who knew?

Seafall's rule book isn't public as far as I can tell, but there is one rule page that appears on a google search of 'Seafall pre order' for me:Click at your own risk --- potential spoilers I suppose.

That is quite an old playtesting document, related to rules of people coming in or out of the campaign. Just deleted it as it was not meant for public consumption, likely way way out of date. Didn't really contain spoilers, but I wouldn't read much into it. Any referenced rules may have changed.↧

So, uh, does every thread around here devolve into discussions of spoiler warning etiquette, or...

No problem, it was my fault! But wouldn't want that document to mislead. Relieved it wasn't anything more revealing!

[o]I believe they intend the sticker and the base to go on the same city. Even if you did decide that they could be different consider this:
You use your bonus before the game starts, but after set up. Part of set up is adding the permanent structures. If you put the sticker on one city, and the base on a different city, you don't get the base on the sticker because that would have been placed during set up, which is over.[/o]

Almost forgot, that was the other thing I meant to say, Michael. In regard to the trees. A pencil and a ball of steel wool would do the trick, but there is the element of ambiance. Good terrain sets the mind at ease.↧

I agree Aaron that it seems silly to measure value by cost per hour. However, it also seems silly to measure the value of a game by its cost. If cost **is** a major factor, though, it seems logical to do the analysis. A lot of the brouhaha about board game companies these days is about prices being too high or discounts not being high enough. Seems like many people are more concerned with buying lots of games relatively cheaply as opposed to buying only a few good games at whatever price and replaying them frequently.↧
