Thanks! I responded on Github, but I'll answer here too in case anybody else wants to know.
Right now there's no way to adjust the images. The size is slightly wider than square; about 1.075 to 1.
Previously it was shrinking the image width to fit, but after getting your comment I changed it. Now it will shrink the smallest dimension to fit, so that the whole area is covered, and it will automatically centre the image in the space. Not as good as full image placement, but probably better than leaving whitespace until I can get it fixed.
I'm extremely happy to see that people are using the tool! I love getting feature requests and bug reports and I'll do my best to accommodate them.
