Getting hit worked differently in the original if I recall if you got hit by a fire ball you where moved to the pits or something like that, you didnt just stand back up like this one.
A few us made up burn token rules in another thread:
https://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/2104448/my-varianthouse...
We made a Burn Token you get if an Ember or Fireball ends its movement touching you whether you’re knocked down or not. Similar to Snakes and Bees mechanics. Whether you have the Heart or not.
My penatly is you cannot perform the next card action after moving. So it's Kind of like the oringal game’s penalty of smolder pits. those were sort of penatly boxes. But in this game taking away an action can be big. As can the Bee stings halving movement while getting to or having the Heart.
Are you talking about the action like picking up all tokens on a spot you pass, moving something on the island or the like? What differentiates between that and the penalty that some cards have for large movement. I could see you gaming the burn token and use the card that gives you 12 movement but you can't pick up any token while moving? Would it cancel that action?
The action is the second part of the card, the optional part, below the line. The card where you move 4 and collect all tokens actually doesn't have an action.
