Issue #1: it wasn't clear in the 2nd edition Haunt rules if you could only do a "treasure" search where a clue was found or in any room with a symbol. It's any room with a symbol--preferably one with clue bonuses.
Um, yeah it does. In the Secrets of Survival haunt #50, under Searching for Treasure, the first bullet point says: You can search for treasure in any room that contains a face-down clue token. In other words, the room must have a face down token to search. Once someone rolls a 4-12, they take that clue token.
On the same page, under Clues, the second bullet point says: "You can continue to search for the treasure in a room even after the clue for that room has been found." So, essentially, you can search in any room with a symbol. This prevents the game from stalling after the last Clue is picked up.
