Also because, imho, "normal" ppl can't even wonder that things like that can happens, and so it's more difficult to defend us or the kids... without enclosing them in a bunker for the entire lifetime, i mean.

Yep, I think the the phrase "Where there is a will there is a way," applies here. When I was going to college a person in that city killed 7 people with a hammer.
