I have to apologize in advance for my bad English but we need help and perhaps you are the right people to ask.I have a question about turn order. It seems that the order of turns differs big time compared to the "normal" risk. In fact it seem to differ so much that it makes no sense to us.
As described in the (german) manual.
3 players are playing the game
Player A:
Starts his turn
Recruits troops
May attack
May move
Ends his turn
Repeat for player b, player c, player a, player b, player c, player a, and so on.
We think that does not really make any sense because player A will amass his troops an attack player b before he can recruit his troops to set up his defense. Player B will have problems recovering because he just lost most of his territories and will not gain any bonuses from continents if player A played it right. It would be a huge advantage for whoever started the game because he could secure a continent in his first turn and profit from it in the second whereas at least one of his opponents would not receive any bonus troops because the continent bonus could be easily taken away by player A.
We thought it would be better the following way and traditional risk was more like this but we are not too sure because that is not what the rulebook says.
Start of turn
Player A
Player B
Player C
Recruiting troops
Player A
Player B
Player C
Attack Phase
Player A
Player B
Player C
Movement Phase
Player A
Player B
Player C
End of turn phase
Player A
Player B
Player C
-----------------------------------------------------
Start of turn
Player B
Player C
Player A
Recruiting troops
Player B
Player C
Player A
...
What is the correct order of turns? Can you please help us?
