So me and a couple buddies tried this out at our FLGS last night. Seemed pretty straight forward and much simpler than other Lovecraftian-style games. We got about 15 or so tiles on the board, then the haunt came, and I was the traitor.

Spoilers for Haunt 1: tell me if we played this right

[o]The objective is to give the Girl and the Ring to the Mummy and return them to the room where the haunt started. So out comes the mummy. My character already has the ring. My two friends take their turn and find the Book (to destroy the mummy) and then begin searching for one of the rooms that they can destroy the mummy in. Then it's my turn. My character's turn consisted of giving the Ring to the Mummy. Then the Mummy goes; he rolls a 5, goes through the one secret passage, and makes it to the character with the girl. He completely obliterates that character (Mummy rolls 8 die as opposed to that character's 5). The character takes 4 damage and the mummy gets the girl. My friends search for the room again. Next mummy turn, he rolls another 5 and returns to the room. Game over, traitor wins.[/o]

Did we play this incorrectly, or did I just get really lucky?
