Yeah pledging forbidden reaches would certainly get you the most content for your money. For $100 (plus shipping) you would get a total of 4 GOOs, 10 episodes, 33 investigators, 15 relics and 9 insanities.
But you would be adding two full boxes to you collection, if you wanted to keep it small I would suggest getting the 3 core boxes over 2 cores and a stretch goal box.
It's also worth keeping in mind that you'll have to wait about 2 years for forbidden reaches. If you're happy to continue with the same 6 episodes, 3 GOO's and 10 investigators until then waiting it out could be worth the wait.
