I'm not sure I fully get the "License" argument.I have always seen License as an investment. It cost more to the publisher, but it will reach a larger audience, so it would increase the number of sales. It's also a great way to spread your product to a new pool of potential customers. So there seem to me to be clear benefits to have a license from the publisher point of view (more sales + greater reach than you could achieve otherwise). Therefore, why would the customers be the one to compensate for it?
It's a genuine question I always had about the "licensed games cost more" argument, especially when you see games, such as The Lord of the Rings: Duel for Middle-earth, whose price is matched by that of its non-licensed counterpart.
