I assumed that this card acts like a "Forecast" card in Pandemic. See the next room tile and choose to discard it if you dont like it and then take the next one whatever it happens to be.↧

Apparently our group played it wrong. We enjoyed the overall experience as we went and took the scoring as about as serious as a Cosmo quiz - just as something for a fun way to evaluate how we did. We certainly didn't use it to criticize how we played, nor did we get particularly worked up about not knowing about it in advance.
This. This game provided so much entertainment for us over the course of several weeks that we were sad to see it end. The final scoring was just a nice little epilogue for us.
I don't understand getting all worked up over it.

[q=KGS666]I couldnt find anywhere that trading was an action. There's no game definition for "action" other than the commonly accepted one that it's simply something you can do on your turn. The rules for trading items is found in the rulebook on page 7 (1st edition) or 11 (2nd edition). On his or her turn, an explorer can give one item to another explorer in the same room (if they accept it). However, the Traitor's Tome for this Haunt says, "Controlled heroes may not attack or take other actions." Which means they can neither give nor accept an item.

I think the CDC badges is a fun idea. But make them old and battered looking (burned, torn, water damaged, etc), to look 71 years old. Like they were just found in a warehouse or something.↧

I'm not going to say anything else, but I really, really don't recommend doing something like this until you know what the final twist and perspective are. But again, I'm not going to spoil anything, I won't say more, I just highly encourage people to make sure they have a full grasp on the story and then decide on things like this, so that they make sense with the plot.

My advice is: Make group decisions without him, but then let him enforce the group's will. Otherwise, let him handle supplying and such.

What are the start positions at the beginning of each game? Is it anywhere? Is it any haven? Or is it the characters birthplace only?↧

No, there is no mention of discarding the top tile or moving it to the bottom of the stack. You just get to know what it is. That can help you decide if you want to get it or instead move to a different, already revealed tile. In addition to the potential benefits during the Haunt, mentioned above.

You start at your home. You choose which home it is when you make the character.

We left out the radio operator for our playthrough of the prologue and our first attempt at January and lost both times. We swapped the radio operator in for the instructor and haven't looked back. We tried to use the instructor like the researcher in regular Pandemic but the differences and restrictions (once per turn, only on the instructor's turn) along with the amount of duplicate cards allowing for ease of share knowledge anyways meant that we rarely actually used that ability.
The radio operator's ability is far more useful as being able to distribute out cubes to make sure people who need them have them comes into play nearly every turn as opposed to the situational use of the instructor.
I will say that I find the farmer to be very powerful as well and very useful. Anything that saves an action is a good thing.

OK, so my husband and I finished PL2 this evening (we won, yay! But the end was very stressful) and then we decided to go look at all the things we hadn't opened/scratched off to see what we missed. I have questions about dossiers 21, Z, 26 and 40.About 21:
[o]This one is about a "reign of terror" in Frankfurt, which is obviously a bad event... when does this get triggered? We're just really curious.[/o]
About Z, 26 and 40:
[o]Are these just commemorative stickers? Was there any other time they were supposed to come up? I can't see how they fit into the game or rules etc. (They are three square stickers that say "Haven Leadership Summit".)[/o]
Also! Spoiler for later game map state:
[o]What is that pink mist? I was hoping we'd find out at some point... :-([/o]

Some things to consider:1) Until you reach the end of the campaign, you don't know whether something that seems good in the next few games is actually good once you get more perspective. For example, at the start of Season 1, it looks like a good idea to build permanent Research Stations, but if you place all the stickers and then get a win bonus of "build 6 permanent Research Stations" suddenly it looks like a bad move. So long as the first group isn't too far ahead, his foresight is of very limited value...
2) How much do you trust him to be able to contribute without spoilers? Some people, I'd trust to be able to strategise based on what's in front of them rather than on leaked knowledge; some people I wouldn't trust to not leak spoilers if they were kept gagged in an adjacent room...
3) Just from the initial setup, while there's some obvious nudges to do things in a particular order, there's enough opportunity to sequence break that it's possible that you'll be ahead of them on some things even as they're playing later months...
If you trust them to be able to take a back seat and/or ignore what they know, then there shouldn't be a problem - and even if they do know things you don't, the game situation may be different enough that it's not relevant.

We find the Radio Operator doesn't get as much use out of their ability as we were thinking (having won January on the second attempt) - we tend to have the supply cubes on the board rather than on character sheets...↧
