What I found with Artscow is it is really fussy about the dpi thing - I had a friend use some graphic design software to do some screen captures for another project. I'd recommend scanning the cards on the highest resolution possible, then editing them with some software that retains the resolution (like perhaps Photoshop).Also, another tip I have regarding the dimensions is when you edit/crop the card images, retain a single-color border around them (I recommend black) so you can center the images on the Artscow templates without losing any content or imagery.
I wish I could help more, but I really don't know my way around the graphics design software (like Photoshop) that would be your key to success. Like I said, I had a friend do that part.
