I have not played this game yet, but am going to pick it up shortly, and I have a reason why I do not consider this a waste of money even though after 15 games the best aspect of the game will be gone.I currently have an awesome, 4 person game group, but after I graduate college, I am moving to St. Louis for a job, which is 6 hours away from my current home. Effectively, our game group dies at the end of this semester, and it has given me years of enjoyment. I'm very sad about that. I am buying Risk Legacy, because it looks like after we finish playing it, I will have a personalized momento from my game group that I can keep for years to remeber some of the best times i've ever had gaming.
Even if the risk aspect of the game isn't super awesome, this is kinda like board game-scrap booking. Ten years from now I expect to look back at the map and remember my current game group, something that no other game allows me to do.
