Last night my group did Haunt 29/Chapter 8.

[o]TL;DR Does the traitor's reaction to mark heroes/prevent their death immediately end their turn?

I was the traitor. On what ended up being the last turn my brother, who was one of the heroes, journeyed into the Otherworlds and got to the first Corner of Hell (I didn't fully understand the hero side of this haunt, but since it was a 3 player game, I guess they needed 2 of the Corners. At any rate, I know that he only needed to go 1 card further down to win). But apparently he then needed to take 1 die of mental damage. This mental damage would have killed him. However, because of the traitor reaction, he didn't die and was marked, setting his stats to critical. But because the rules of the game state you gain all of your movement for the turn at the beginning of the turn, the reduction of his speed from max to critical didn't take away the movement he had left, and the heroes won.

It just seems really weird that you can face tank through that damage and it doesn't matter in the slightest. Of course, since the rules of the Haunt don't specifically say that the marking reaction doesn't end the hero's turn, we played it as such.

Of course, I just discovered that the game was screwed over long before this because of the known issue about the Chalice. The one and only Omen that I got was the Chalice, and the heroes stopped even thinking about how they could damage me (which they would need to do to steal it from me) after attempting to attack me once. Even so, I kind of want a clarification if possible as to what was intended[/o]
