The sidegoals that turn into benefits against the final haunt bothered me. It may be that I missed or glossed over some really good flavortext that should have made them desirable. That said, as they were revealed, it took me out of immersion, because all I could think was "Here is a goal with no benefits for the current scenario. They *must* be grooming this for the finale." I think they could have really benefitted from a small gain for those doing the sidegoal, to make them more desirable to fulfill in-theme, as opposed to in-gamer-mode.

How were those sidegoals tweaked during playtest? Was there a deliberate decision not to give them any benefit for the haunt they were revealed for?
