No don't buy it, the game sucks, Legacy is a stupid concept, spend your money on games you can keep playing rather than games you can only play a maximum of 24 times.

You're in a Pandemic Legacy forum, I would bet everyone here loves the game and has played it multiple times. Of course we're all going to tell you the game is great and that you should buy it. But that doesn't mean it will be "worth it" to you.

I would liken this to video game subscriptions. I personally can't understand how World of Warcraft became so popular when you had to pay money every month just to play the thing, and as soon as you stopped paying you wouldn't be allowed to play anymore. If you stopped paying, regardless of if you spent 1 hour or 10,000 hours in the game, you didn't get to play anymore; you didn't get to keep anything. And yet, World of Warcraft had nearly 12 million subscribers at its peak. There must be something there that appealed to people enough to make them want to throw away money every month.

Pandemic Legacy is the same. People paid for it knowing full well that (unless you took considerable effort) they would not be able to play it again once they finished. And the majority of us have loved it, which is why it has been at or near the top of the BGG rankings.

I didn't buy a World of Warcraft subscription and still think people who did wasted their money, but I bought Pandemic Legacy and loved every second of it. If your only issue is that you don't want to destroy things, know that it is possible to make this game re-settable so you don't have to destroy anything.
