We opened ours last night, after game 12. I can see why it would have been a disaster to have opened it before one of the other envelopes, but it equally might've been fun to open it a little bit earlier.
I guess there are really too many variables - if the pack itself varies, and of course when you open the other packets will vary as well, then there really isn't going to be a "best" answer.....but looking at all votes and comments, I suspect that the "closest best answer" might be "open it after all the others have been opened, around turn 10".....
