[o]I don't think the rules give an answer to this. The original rules can't, due to spoilers, and I don't think the updated rules for relics and tablets address players leaving.

One choice would be to mark them all as lost, and use the "lost relics" rules for both the relics and tablets that the player had.

But I would suggest keeping that faction 'in play' using the rules for players missing a game, thus allowing those still playing to raid the former province to steal relics and tablets. It might be best to treat relics as being in the treasure room for this purpose, as leaving them on a ship might make it too easy for one player to grab all of them in one attack.

By doing it this way, it makes it harder for one player to exploit the new treasure pile all at once. First, you have the limits on enmity tokens to deal with. In addition, if only one player in raiding the former province, enmity stickers will build up and make further attacks much more difficult.

Other than relics and tablets, I think everything else (maps/charts, etc) should probably just be dismissed as suggested.[/o]
