I've only finished Chapter 1 and I have already had thoughts to this extent:You're playing in 1666. You only know what happens in that year. X amount of years later, you're playing Chapter 1. What about the years' in between?
Let's assume that the survivor from the Prologue goes outside of the house and into town. Legacy Volume 2 introduces a few new options. You have the outside of the house that currently exists (with the entrance to the house not usable as you are trying to get to town), you have the path that does lead to town (so the outside tile is now the next 3 spaces tile that normally served as your entryway in the house), you have the town entrance sign (1 tile) that is the branching point for street tiles and buildings, you have the individual buildings as they are drawn, i.e. some buildings may have upstairs rooms and basement rooms but not all of them.
Example:
You find the town entrance - You travel one step one way and find a street tile (no card is drawn), you move a second time, and draw a building tile (General Store). The General Store gives you a "Draw Item" symbol so you take an item. It also has a stairway on the tile for upstairs and downstairs, giving the player inside of the General Store the option to explore upstairs or the basement of the general store. When doing so, he can draw a Basement Tile or upper floor for the general store.
Does this sound more like what people were referring to?
