From the "unboxing video", it looks like the family crests are tied to character stats. Is it truly the case that your stat lines are set in stone for the campaign once you make your initial family choice?

I know I give major side-eye to any player who picks Ox in the original game. Can you tell us what if anything you did to address stat imbalances in Legacy? It seems particularly important if the answer to the first question is "yes".

The stats are fixed at the beginning. We played around with variable stats and stats-that-changed-at-the-end-of-each-game and it made things more unstable, not less so. It got even worse as the campaign went on as some families become overpowered while others became underpowered.

In general, the traits are smoother than the original game - fewer highs and fewer lows. For example, no family has a stat of 1. The minimum is 2. All families start with a Speed of 4 so everyone can move 4 tiles on their first turn.

We also focused on ways for all traits to have their moment to shine, either within a haunt or through the use of items. This isn't to say that there isn't a time when the might of the red family doesn't shine but it won't be every game.
