"You're over-reacting!!!" :devil::p

That sort of play is all part of the game... the great thing about this game is that with subsequent games, players should try to start making other areas more lucrative and reducing the benefits of others...

If people want to "gang" up on you in Australia, then don't become attached to Australia... weaken it and start somewhere, where the area has become more useful... or select specific factions with variable abilities... (in our games, we had a faction that could leap around from any site to any other NON_ADJACENT site on the board!)

There are multiple strategies to this risk (compared to typical Risk-type games)... and more and more become available as the game develops with each play... just be ready to explore these alternative options as you go...

Of course, if in every game your opponents feel like there's nothing better to do than to continuously gang up on you, well maybe look for a different gaming group... Still, I remember that in our games, we continuously tried to "gang" up on one specific player at one point because they kept winning, and they still found ways around it...

I say don't stress and try looking for less obvious strategies to try and win...:devil:
