I attached the board to the wall in my gaming room and recycled the components.The cards go into sleeves whenever I want to produce cards for myself like fan expansions or PnP games. This way I can printout cards on normal paper and slide them together with a Pandemic card into a sleeve - makes it feel like real cards and is was better than just paper.
The rest of the components gets recycled as well...
Using the houses on an old Advanced Squad Leader Board makes the game more thematic. I use them as hitpoint markers of the city of Gravehold - green houses are 5 HP, white ones 1 HP. Also, the translucent cubes are way more immersive than the counters supplied in Aaeon‘s end.
The translucent cubes are actually nice stand-ins for a couple of games
