I really like this line of thinking to bring weather into the game. Phaikon’s ideas are creative and I love th drawing. My favorite idea of his is the biased random walk to the edge of the world. However, in their current state I think they’re too punishing. I can imagine how frustrating it would be to spend a whole game getting blown off course and never reaching the island you set sail for.Here’s another weather mechanism I think would be cool: have a “storm” marker, three hexes in size that randomly moves around the board each turn. Players can’t sail through the storm. If the storm moves onto a ship, the ship takes one damage.
