We JUST beat the game last night. I think we won by exploiting a technicality in the rules ![]()
[o]You lose in the standard Pandemic ways, but also if you cannot place Hollow Men on the board. We infected the courier and set her up to just run from the Lake, through Utopia, and to Johannesburg. We set up shelters along the route so that she was just breezing through, but she was one action short of hitting the end.
There were only three Hollow Men left to place for three more turns, and the discard pile was loaded with Hollow Men Gather cards.
In the end, we realized that we needed to be FILLING unnecessary cities with Hollow Men, as this exploit saved us for two turns: If you are going to place a fourth Hollow Man, do not place and reduce the city population by one instead. We let so many cities become forsaken just to blow through turns! Poor Asia... we also dropped the bomb in Hong Kong in Season One![]()
