We've occasionally had this issue come up as well. While the rules say that playing a room tile can't block the last open door on the current floor, barriers such as the "catacombs" can effectively split a floor such that a player can't reach that door to continue exploring and become trapped. I agree, the rule could be stretched to cover this scenario, as that seems to keep with the spirit of the game. Unless the last room for the floor has been played, the players should be allowed to continue exploring.↧
