Hello all,

Looking for some strategy advice after playing through April:

[o]
Here is our record in a 4 player game through April:

Jan: 2 Losses
Feb: 1 Loss, 1 Win
Mar: 1 Win
Apr: 2 Losses

We have explored/connected NA & SA at this point. I am not sure if we expanded too fast, making the infection deck and area to cover with supplies too big? With the new Epidemic rule in April, we have 7 now in the player deck.

April was just brutal and frustrating as we never really stood a chance in both losses as there was just much ground to cove to prevent the infections.[/o]

We just won March, about to play April.

[o]I think the extra epidemics after March are probably needed. We've done a bit more of the reconning than your group - South America first in January as we got a lot of yellow cards, before we got near enough blue cards to build the Washington Supply Centre, let alone recon North America in the first game, this meant, after we reconned Europe in our second February Game. With all the extra city cards in the deck, our March game was too easy, with quite a long game only getting our second epidemic quite near the end! Whether they've quite got it right, I don't know.

As for reconning, we haven't yet done Lagos, but we did Cairo near the end of March. I think the game intends you to do some, but there probably is a risk of doing them as fast as we have![/o]
