I usually put my Black Friday purchases under the tree. My wife doesn't have a handle on where to get the games I want cheaply, so I oblige her.I also have to think of where I'll be on Christmas morning. This year it'll be at my in-laws, who truly don't 'get' gaming as a hobby. They see it as though I am a child playing with toys. I'm okay with that, as their misguided vision doesn't bother me (I've tried to teach them some fun, easy games, but to no avail).
Anyway, the only reason I mention that is that I can 'get away' with putting a couple of games under the tree that aren't too 'out there' in theme. I figure ACW and pirates work well enough, plus it gives me something to fiddle with while I'm away from home.
This year it's:
Test of Fire: Bull Run 1861
Letter of Marque
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Borderlands 2
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Not too shabby!
