Yes, it seems you played by wrong rules. It would have been better if you had won the game so the missiles would have been more evenly distributed. So maybe you just handed the "name the world" option to Jason plus gave him a missile that you could have had.
Maybe you decide to stop the campaign now after game 15, but you can continue to play and then the missile will come back to you...
There is another aspect of this way of negotiation: It was all behind someones back. Maybe it would be more fair to restrict negotiations to the actual game night or maybe even allow negotiation only when everybody is present. No secret alliances on the cigarette break. Perhaps Blake can stand alliances against him better when he seems them coming.
Alliances are an important part of the game, and naturally everybody gangs up on the leader. Otherwise, the game would be even more imbalanced.
