That should make itself clear when you consider the clues that say "add your Knowledge to the roll"; you add the actual number of your Knowledge to the result of the regular Knowledge roll. Otherwise you'd be rolling dice equal to twice your Knowledge, and that would definitely cause problems in some cases.↧
