Oh boy...I quit my job!
It's a small workplace, with five employees, and for good or bad, you become like a family with your coworkers...
After eight years we're at "irreoncilable differences" and a "divorce" was nescessary for me to move on...
I got an okay deal where I'm basically on summer vacation from now till the first of August, but after that I'm on three weeks quarantine before I can get any unemployment support, and that involves a lot of bureaucracy, so basically I'm going to put a lot of effort into getting a job before then.
I have mixed feelings, depression and regret not being the least of these, but I had given it a lot of thought, and in the long run I know it's for the best, so I also feel a lot of relief, and even some exhilaration at the prospect of the world lying open to me! "Carpe oyster!" as they don't say...:p
I went out with a bang though. This weekend all the youth clubs from the area, mine and 5 others, were on a summercamp with 300 kids, where I was responsible for a LARP event, where the kids were colonies of ants, warring over territory and ressources, good fun!
But as the Pythons say; Now for something completely different...
Cheers all, last call...
