Thread: Risk Legacy:: General:: HELP! Terrible scar placement advice

In our very first game, my group wound up placing an ammo shortage scar on North Africa, and Brazil. We soon realized that this would lead to very one dimensional games (at least so far, as we haven't opened any packets yet). Basically Africa and South America are extremely less viable continents to hold, and getting Australia meant a nearly guaranteed victory...

This obviously isn't the WORST thing that could happen, but most of the players are extremely discouraged from playing again, thinking that someone will just take Australia, build up a few turns, and like get an easy victory.

I know that, in time, other victors can use rewards to fix this, but it feels disappointing that a couple of short-sighted mistakes by people new to the game will force people to "waste" their victory rewards.

Ok so my question is: would it be blasphemous to agree as a group to move one of the scars to a less game-damaging territory?
