DESCRIPTION
As the World Capital mission was given from the start, Andreas was a bit lucky, being able to claim it, and 2VPs at the first turn in the game. He didn't go for an early win, but rather offered us other an interesting game. Finally, he won by being able to choose the mission using the last event card, and occupying 2 major cities and the world capital, giving that private mission to Balkania. An interesting game, where it felt like all players had a fair chance of winning although it seemed like it would be decided in the 1st turn.
Richard started by trying to attack Linus in Indonesia. However, the defence was too strong, and the attack failed completely even as 4 missiles was used by the attacker (and 2 by the defender). Richard was then annihilated by Mattias, and redeployed in Asia the next turn, taking back his HQ. Some turns after, he conquered the old Mutant HQ in Sosaria, and took the continent. Had some large resource cards on his hand as the game ended.
Linus started in Sosaria, deployed his forces in Indonesia and stood up against the invading forces of Richard. However, he was overrun by Mattias instead, and restarted in Nordkorea on his 2nd turn. Now he managed to occupy the entire continent, but couldn't hold it as Andreas' forces marched north fom Burma.
Mattias got a good opportunity, as two HQ's was left defenceless and ripe for plucking at his 1st turn. He took them both without any problems, but left Småland a bit undefended against Mattias and Andreas. This forced him to focus on the Western HQ, loosing the newly conquered HQ's to Richard. Mattias had a chance for victory, but didn't succeed.
Jon started in New New Caledonia, building up his forced and going north. He got a constant flow of resource cards, alas most coins, so he couldn't deploy as many forces as needed. Instead he traded 4 of them in for a VP and attacked Andreas in Brazil, and Mattias in Western Europe, using EMPs and destroying both fortifications there (or was it Andreas in W EU?). However, there were no winning move, either succesful or unsuccessful, so the Enclave lost, but held on strongly.
Andreas got a good start with Imperial Balkania in Brazil. He occupied Iceland the 1st turn, and managed to open the World capitol packet, gaining 2 VPs. However, he failed to try to seize the undefended HQ in China, 2 territories away, which would have given him a good chance of a quick win in the 1st turn. After the early lead, he got a bit attacked by Mattias and Jon, but managed to survive and muster enough troops to win the game, using the final event card to choose a fitting mission card, and using resource cards to gain enough troops.
