We actually played this last night and ran into an interesting situation, perhaps we were all doing it wrong but I wanted a take on it from you guys.We had
Room -Room
Attic-Room-Room
Room -Room-Room
The attic had only one exit from the right side and there was only one way out of the room on the right (in bold) but you have to turn right to get there. (Italics)
So, if we were playing correctly, the victims would run from the attic two spaces forward...towards the room on the right (Bold). Now, our reading of the tome was that they could only turn left if they couldn't progress further in the direction they were looking..so them turning left would send them back to the attic (meaning they couldn't turn right to go to the italics room)..and the process would repeat until the heroes could come move them and break this up. I'm not sure if we did this correctly, though in retrospect I would imagine that it wasn't thematically smart for victims to simply run back and forth down a hallway over and over...but...well, they got themselves into this mess!
Were we reading this correctly or making a mistake? And if we were reading it correctly, should the rule be that if they would return back to the attic, go right instead?
Thx
