Please be warned, there are a good number of spoilers here now, since the three missile pack has been opened. I apologize now, for any that haven't played this far into the game, as reading this WILL ruin something.I also am not going to get into the exact specifics of how the draft went, as we played this games well over a week ago. I just haven't had the time to write about them.
The Start:
Josh: Mutants Northern Europe
Luke: Saharan Republic Peru
Eric: Die Mechaniker Western Australia
Mike: Imperial Balkania Kamchatka - Winner
Stephen: Enclave of the Bear Ural
The Mutants make their premier, and start right in an area with the bio-hazard for an early advantage. Though this war was odd as Luke was left to his own devices in the Western Hemisphere.
Most of the fighting took place in Europe and Asia. Stephen decided to play referee in the middle of it all, smacking down anyone that was getting to powerful.
When Luke had secured both Serenity (S. America) Most of N. America, and Parts of Belonga-Eric (Africa), the rest turned their attention onto him. Though they lost site of what mike was doing in Kamchatka.
Oddly enough, the refereeing that Stephen was doing was allowing mike to build up his resources. This was going on unchecked by everyone in that section of the world, though Luke had some idea of what was happening. The few Skirmishes Luke had with Josh weren't enough to keep him going with resources. Also, Eric had turned his attention onto Luke sitting in his continent as well.
After Eric and Josh pushed Luke back to the western hemisphere, thinning themselves out, Mike cashed in his resources with a huge influx of troops and took advantage. It didn't take him very long to capture Stephen's, Josh's and Eric's now vulnerable HQs taking the victory.
Mike signs the board for a second time, and it leads into opening up a new package, "When someone signs the board for a second time."
Though, this was met with a large cheer from Stephen, Luke, Mike, and Josh as some speculation about what's coming out next was proven true.
The car ride home after the 5th game had us speculating about a "land bridge" card that allows for the addition of a player made bridge over water between two points.
The game played in about 40 minutes, but this one wasn't the awesome game of the night. Game 7... we felt the rage of Josh.
Mike named Asia Stygia for this victory.
Everyone else added resources to territories.
