Thread: Risk Legacy:: Variants:: Playing with six, two players play as a team. Opinions wanted!

by Geert Vinaskov

So, we'll be playing Risk Legacy tomorrow. We've played before, and there were six of us. Two players played as one team.

1) Today we discussed about what happens when the two team-players win. Do both players get to sign the board, or only one?

The player that wins normally gets the following:

- He chooses a reward (founding a mayor city, naming a continent, ...)
- He starts the next games with no additional victory point
- He starts the next games with missiles, once for each time he won.
- He gets to sign the board because he won.

Also consider this:

- After 15 games, the person who won the most gets to name the world.
- If a players signs the board twice (= wins twice) a pack is opened.

We came up with different solutions. And found reasons why each of these could be considered (un)fair or (un)wanted. I'm not here to bring up my own ideas and arguments. I just want to hear your solutions, or your opinions about the matter, and no, just playing with five is not an option.

So, if you were in this position, what would you do?

2) I also just thought about this: What happens when there's a team where one player already won, and the other didn't. Or one won five times, and the other only once?

Thanks! I'm happy with all replies. Image may be NSFW.
