My dear friends of the League, it has begun!The last two days were filled with gaming. But my gaming partners were not the usual suspects, but my twins! They are now nearly 33 months old and they finally grasped the concept of their first game: Mein erster Obstgarten
A very simple affair, but they learned, that they are only allowed to pick a fruit, after they rolled the die and only the fruit of the rolled color. After the first game, were they won, they laughed and were very happy. The second game, the raven won, and my daughter cried a little bit. I used this opportunity to try and explain to her the concept of winning and losing. At first I thaught she was to young to understand this, because after the next game, were the raven won again, she cried again.
But when we played again the next day and she won (my son was shopping with my wife), she took a fruit out of her basket and gave it to the raven, so he would also have something to eat. That was so sweet of her and hopefully she will keep this attitude and continue to be a nice winner.
