Lucas wasn't worrying about taking Eric's HQ because he knew he was going to pull a resource every turn for having 4+ territories (my special power, that I still think I did wrong).
You don't get a resource for owning 4+ territories, you have to take over 4 unoccupied territories in your turn to get the resource.
I found it interesting all players took the same factions in both games. Was that by prior agreement?
