DESCRIPTION
This game was short, 5 turns, before Mattias took everyone by surprise and won. This was a fair win, since he almost succeeded in the 2nd round as well. Otherwise, it was Jon who was the mighties power, even though he wasn't that close since he got all other factions against him (except the friendly mutes who was occupied copulating and breeding new mutes. At the end we were thrilled to open a new pack, and was pleased to find the new cards (especially since we had discussed the issue covered by these cards before the start of the game). We also made preparations to found a world government city in the coming games.
Jon took North America early, held it for some rounds, then was attacked by everyone able to since he was seen as the largest threat. In the final round he made an effort to conquer South America, driving Andreas out of there.
Mattias started in Sosaria with 2 missiles and held it after first round and for the entire game. In the 2nd turn he almost won, since going towards the HQs in Middle East and Great Britain, but was stopped even though 4 missiles was used in order to stop the winning move. Afterwards, he began his slow move towards Alaska, and finally in the 5th round he took everybody by surprise, collected 1 VP for 4 resource cards and conquered the HQ in Eastern USA, which lacked sufficient defence.
Richard started in Middle East with the Mutants and took New New Caledonia, holding it for the entire game. During the 2nd round he lost his HQ, but took it back and started to build up his mutants slowly and spreading over Asia. This continued for the rest of the game, not succeeding more in the game than staying away from any confrontations, keeping Jon out of New New Caledonia and hoarding mutes and resources. Oh, and the Mutants evolved, offensively of course, since they harbor alot of agression inside. Hopefully it can come out during the next game, it's really hurting to keep these feelings bottled up.
Andreas started as Saharan Republic in his major town in Brazil. After conquering South America, he went stealth and attacked the HQ in Middle East for a resource card. After that he hanged on in Asia for quite a while, after going on an attack towards Jon in Central America. Finally, he was swept away from South America by Jon in the last round, however he still remained, stealthily on the game board. Andreas also succeeded in trading in resource cards for a VP, receiving a missile power for the Saharan faction in the process.
Linus started in Great Britain, having some trouble to conquer it from Jon, who held both Iceland and Russia during different stages of the game. Linus advanced in Asia, taking territories for resource cards, but never got the opportunity to use them.
