The reset kit is a brilliant offering from the kit designer, and the number of downloads (1000+ at the last count) indicates that quite a few people are prepared to put in the not inconsiderable work to use the kit to retain their game in a playable state.
Not necessarily.
I downloaded it just for curiosity's sake, without any intention of using it. I bet I'm not the only one.
I respect that. I bet you're not the only one too, since I downloaded without using it also! Whilst a brilliant labour of love (more blushes for Scott :D ) it wasn't enough to convince me to buy, as it only solves one and not the others of my objections. Which is why I said 'quite a few', not 'everyone'.
But you and I, and 998+ others, are at least curious. I suspect many other downloaded kits will be unused by owners of the game due to the small, but nevertheless additional, work required in using it. At the very least though, we can agree that 1000+ downloads indicates a level of interest in the idea.

This was my motivation when I created the kit. I've replayed my resettable copy through 3 seasons so far and it's set up for a 4th.
Exactly so, and I bet many other kits will be used as intended, suggesting that at least some, probably many, and possibly all of the people who bought this game would have bought it and raved about it anyway, even if the mechanics were non-destructive.
