Yeah, even he admits it, the reason this guy is on a major winning streak is because you are letting him. And it seems the reason the game plays the same way so much is because you keep using the same strategy over and over again. If you have a player on a 4 game winning streak you need to swap out your strategy because, well, it isn't working!
You keep starting in South America. On my board, South America, or New Hell as we call it, is all mine. Fortified major city with a Merc Scar, +1 Continent bonus, and named by me. However, I do not always start there. With that biohazard in South America, you can't even keep the continent bonus easily, so start somewhere else until you can fix it!
If you can place last and go first, place next to whomever took the 2 coin card and take them out on the first turn. Get their 2 coins, plus one card for taking that territory. I have done this while also taking the 1 coin card in the draft and ended the first turn with 2 HQs and 4 coin cards. The next turn I turned them in for 7 troops and went on a minor rampage.
Even with a nice starting setup, I will start in other locations just to cockblock someone else, or attack them. Shake it up some, dude.
