We are nearly at the end, with just one more game to play in December. Win or lose, we have had a great time. So much so, that we are contemplating acquiring another copy or two to play with other groups or even with just ourselves. We know that we can keep quiet about any spoiler events should we play with a new group. Since we have experience now, we can even make sure it goes smoothly, with the correct timing of door and box openings and that new rules are played properly.A little background: We have owned and played Pandemic with Pandemic: On the Brink for several years. Even though we already know that a disease is going to become virulent and that a new mutation is going to pop up, the surprise and game play is not ruined for us. In the same way, knowing about [o]COdA, the Fade, new characters, upgrades, events, objectives, etc., will not spoil our ability to replay Legacy in the future. Even though we know these events are going to occur, there really isn't much we can do that will affect the outcome of future games. However, there is one big exception: [o]The Paramilitary Escort character upgrade and its impact on the game after the successful search for the Paranoid Soldier in September. That is the one event that could possibly be impacted by making a different decision months earlier. I'm thinking just keeping my mouth shut will be the best option, especially if I'm playing with a new group. I do know that if no one chooses that upgrade, then it will be a random selection as to which character is chosen to be Sagittarius.[/o][/o]
Anyone else have any thoughts on how to best handle this for maximum enjoyability for all players?
