We played this haunt for the first time tonight. The heroes won, but because they misread the research rules and didn't realize you had to be next to the blob, so they did the research in rooms away from the blob.

The question we had concerns the blob expansion on a roll of 2. Of course there were two camps, the first (the traitor) felt that in the case of a 2 the blob expanded as if at the start of the turn so another roll could be made (theoretically allowing for a continous expansion of the blob) while the second (the heroes) felt the secondary expansion occurred only once. For that game we went with the first school because the heores only knew how the blob worked from what the traitor told them.

I like the first school more, I think it more appropriately encompasses the intent of the Haunt, but I think I would like to play that Haunt again using the appropriate rules for the researchers (as it would make it more risky for them) because it might be harder to achieve a hero victory.

That being said, I'd like to hear what others think.

[Addendum: I have since found a source that shows you keep expanding provided you keep rolling 2's. For those interested, the link is http://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/BHH_TraitorRev_12010..., just scroll down to Haunt 27.]
