It looks like we fundamentally agree with a couple of things.Placing pennies on the board (or off the board) to plan your moves isnt against the rules.
Players who plan their moves in advance will make fewer mistakes.
We disagree on
Mistakes in expansion due to counting error being a fundamental part of the design of Risk.
The enjoyment we get from capitalizing on other players counting mistakes (i take no enjoyment in it, and would seek to remove all counting errors possible)
When during a turn a favorable mistake (such as city troop losses) occurs, has no bearing on the chances of catching it.
I can live with that.
